The time has come for another student social and parent forum! Deborah DiLucchio, who originally approached me with the idea, will host the social at her lovely home at 1:30pm on Saturday, May 22 (7 Nystrom Street, Chermside). I would like to invite all my students and parents to come join in on the fun!
The timeline will roughly be as follows:
1:30 – 2:30: Play-In. We’ll play as much of the Suzuki repertoire as we can. Those students who aren’t as familiar with the Suzuki repertoire, don’t worry – I’ll provide some music for sight reading. You’re more than welcome to join in!
2:30 – 3:00: Afternoon Tea. Please bring a plate of healthy snacks to share with everyone. We’ll provide beverages.
3:00 – 4:00(ish): Kids Play/Social Time & Parent Forum. Deborah’s backyard is a gorgeous and kid-friendly place for the children to run around and play. We will have music-themed movie available for the older kids who prefer an alternative activity.
While the kids are socialising, the parents will gather for a forum. The topic will be practicing! Please come ready to share your stories, ideas, strategies, frustrations – basically anything surrounding this popular subject! This is an excellent opportunity to share, learn, and yes, even vent! 🙂
